Managing Operators in Your Tidio Panel

In this article, we will explain how to add, manage and customise your operator’s accounts.

How to add a new operator

To add a new operator to your chat, log into your Tidio Chat panel and click on your name or avatar in the top-right corner. Next, hover over the list of available operators and click on Add an Operator.

In the new pop-up window, enter your new operator’s name and email address. The password will be generated automatically and it will appear as a new third field. Your new operator will receive an email (to the address you provided) with a login link to their Tidio Chat account.

The new operator can change their password by going to Settings > Account and clicking on Change password.

Managing your operators

To add or manage your operators, go to the Settings section and select the Operators tab. Here you are able to add, remove or deactivate an operator from your chat.

How to customize your operator profile

You can change the operator settings at any time. Just click the Operator’s name or avatar in the upper-right corner of the panel and select Profile (or simply click the bigger avatar/name that has just appeared).

In this section, you can change the Operator’s name and avatar (profile picture). Both the name and avatar are visible in the chat window and you can click the avatar itself to edit it just like on the GIF below:

Important! If you won’t have any avatar uploaded in your operator profile – you’ll see a grey placeholder. Your visitors will see the Chat logo next to your sent messages on the chat.
