How to Navigate the Visitors Section
In this article, you will learn how to navigate the Visitors section – located on the left-side menu in your Tidio panel.
Begin the chat pro-actively
In the Visitors tab you can see the list of all users currently visiting your website. Here you check their location, which browser they are using, and the URL of the page they are currently viewing. This feature is available if you are a ‘communicator’ plan subscriber.
You can click on a visitor’s name or a Start Chat button to begin a new conversation.
After you start a conversation with your visitor, you will see your current chat appear at the top of your conversation list.
You will also see other active conversations on the list. The name in the
Discover everything you need to know about your visitors in the info section to the right of the chat window.
Add their name, email address, and phone number manually – or set up a pre-chat survey to have this automated for you.
note: Users who have not provided their name will appear as a randomly-generated hashtag ID until you set a name for them yourself or they fill it out during the survey.
Why does the visitors list differ from what google analytics shows?
Tidio Chat uses a different algorithm than Google Analytics. Our chat will show you the exact amount of visitors on your website while the chat is installed on your site. You can read more about it in our article about the differences between google analytics algorithm and Tidio’s algorithm.
