How to Integrate Tidio With Mailchimp

In this article, we will explain how to integrate Tidio with your Mailchimp account. This integration will allow you to see the email addresses of your website’s visitors collected through the Pre-Chat survey tool.

How to integrate Tidio with MailChimp

To set up the integration – go to Settings > Integrations section in your Tiido panel and click on the Mailchimp tile.

The app is now added to your account. To fully integrate Tidio Chat with Mailchimp, you will need your List ID and API Key. You can find these by logging into your Mailchimp account.

Later, return to your Tidio Chat panel and select Mailchimp from the “Integrations” section. You can now provide your List ID and API key. Remember to press “Save”.

Together with the integration, an opt-in for a newsletter will be added to the Pre-Chat Survey. In order for the opt-in to be showing there, the Pre-Chat Survey has to be enabled in the chat (Read more about the Pre-Chat Survey).

This allows the visitor to express their consent and include their email addresses in the mailing list on MailChimp.

Done! You have integrated your Tidio chat with Mailchimp.

Troubleshooting steps in Mailchimp platform

When you create a new list in Mailchimp, you’ll need to choose the opt-in setting you want to use for its associated signup forms. Our integration supports only the double opt-in at the moment.
