What you can do with Tidio and Lokalise

Translate the chat widget properly

Greetings and saved replies become Lokalise keys, so every language gets the same review as product copy.

Keep bot flows in every language

A flow edited in English creates translation tasks in Lokalise rather than a silent gap.

Ship copy on the release cycle

Lokalise exports can land with the release instead of a week after it.

See what is not translated

Missing keys are a list you can work through, not something a customer discovers.

Overview

Lokalise manages the strings: keys, languages, who translated what, and when it is ready. A chat widget has plenty of them. Greeting messages, saved replies, bot flows and form labels all need to exist in every language you support, and they change more often than product copy. Connecting Lokalise to Tidio means the strings live in one place, translations go through the normal review, and nobody pastes German text into a settings field and hopes.

Key features

  • Widget copy in one place Greetings, saved replies and labels live as Lokalise keys.
  • Translations reviewed properly Copy goes through Lokalise, not a shared spreadsheet.
  • Updates without a redeploy A new translation can reach the widget on its own.
  • Missing languages are visible Lokalise shows which strings are not translated yet.

How it works

Connect Lokalise in minutes

  1. 1

    Connect Lokalise and Tidio

Zapier, Integrately or Make can move exports across, or a service can pull from Lokalise and post to the Tidio API.

  2. 2

    Turn copy into keys

Greetings, saved replies and bot messages become Lokalise keys with a naming convention.

  3. 3

    Export on a schedule

Approved translations update the widget, so nothing is pasted in by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Lokalise integration

Does every string need to go through Lokalise?

Not at first. Start with the copy customers see most: the greeting, the offline message and your top saved replies. Those are the ones that embarrass you in the wrong language. The long tail can move into Lokalise once the pipeline is working.

What happens if a translation is missing?

Decide the fallback before you connect anything. Falling back to English is usually better than showing an empty field or a raw key, and Lokalise can report the gap so somebody fixes it rather than a customer finding it.

Is the Lokalise integration available on my plan?

Availability depends on the Tidio plan you are on. Compare plans to see which plan covers the Lokalise integration.
