What you can do with Tidio and SharePoint

Send the right document

A SharePoint search finds the current policy or form instead of a copy from somebody's desktop.

File what customers send

A photo or signed form is stored in the SharePoint library it belongs in.

Read a list

A SharePoint list can answer a status question without another system.

Keep sharing controlled

Access follows the file, not the conversation it was mentioned in.

Overview

SharePoint holds the document and the list: the policy, the form, the register somebody maintains. Agents need those mid-conversation, and hunting through sites while a customer waits is how the wrong version gets sent. Connecting SharePoint to Tidio lets an agent search the libraries you allow and share a link to the current file, and file what a customer sends into the right place. SharePoint keeps the permissions.

Key features

  • Search the libraries Find the SharePoint document without leaving the chat.
  • Share the current version A link, not an attachment that goes stale.
  • Files land in the right place What a customer sends is filed automatically.
  • Permissions unchanged SharePoint decides who can open a link.

How it works

Connect SharePoint in minutes

  1. 1

    Connect SharePoint and Tidio

Zapier, Integrately or Make can move files and list items, or the Tidio API can pass attachments.

  2. 2

    Choose the sites and libraries

Support searches what you allow. Everything else stays out of reach.

  3. 3

    Let permissions apply

SharePoint decides who can open a shared link. The chat only sends it.

When the edge starts failing, say so in chat before the complaints arrive.

Turn an alarm into a message to customers, and conversation volume into a metric.

Start the chat with the signed-in user already identified, and act on their account safely.

Stream conversation events into the pipeline the rest of your data already flows through.

Run your own code on a conversation and send the answer back into the chat.

Keep transcripts and the files customers send where the rest of your data lives.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the SharePoint integration

Can a customer open a SharePoint link?

Only if the permissions allow it, which catches people out: an internal file will not open for somebody outside the tenant. Keep a library for customer-facing documents with sharing set for that purpose, and point the search at it.

Should the whole tenant be searchable?

No. SharePoint accumulates everything an organization has ever written, including plenty nobody meant support to read. Pick the sites and libraries deliberately, and review that list when new sites appear rather than leaving it open.

Is the SharePoint integration available on my plan?

Availability depends on the Tidio plan you are on. Compare plans to see which plan covers the SharePoint integration.
