What you can do with Tidio and Opal

File access requests properly

A message about missing access becomes an Opal request with the resource named.

Check entitlements first

What Opal already grants often answers the question without a request.

Close the loop on approval

An Opal decision reaches the person who asked, without them chasing it.

Support access reviews

Review reminders can arrive in chat, where people actually respond.

Overview

Opal is where access is requested, approved and reviewed. Most requests start as a message: I need this dashboard, I cannot get into that repository. Connecting Opal to Tidio means that message becomes a proper access request with the resource identified, routed to the owner who approves it, and the person hears back in the conversation. Nothing is granted from the chat. Opal keeps the approval and the audit trail.

Key features

  • Requests from conversations An Opal access request is created from the message.
  • Entitlements in view See what the person already has before asking.
  • Approval status back The requester hears when Opal approves or denies.
  • Opal keeps the trail Every grant stays auditable where it belongs.

How it works

Connect Opal in minutes

  1. 1

    Connect Opal and Tidio

Zapier, Integrately or Make links the two, or the Tidio API and an Opal webhook do it directly.

  2. 2

    Name the resource

A short set of questions identifies what is being asked for, so Opal routes it correctly.

  3. 3

    Let Opal decide

Approval, denial and expiry stay in Opal. The chat carries the outcome back.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Opal integration

Can access be granted from the chat?

No, and that is the point. A conversation is a good place to work out what somebody needs and to see what they already have. The grant belongs in Opal, with the owner's approval and an expiry, because that is the record an auditor will ask about.

Does this actually speed anything up?

It removes the part where a request sits in a message thread until somebody remembers to file it. The approval still takes as long as the owner takes. What changes is that the request exists in Opal within a minute and its status is visible.

Is the Opal integration available on my plan?

Availability depends on the Tidio plan you are on. Compare plans to see which plan covers the Opal integration.
